Mid- May!

Reflexology & Wellbeing
Reflexology is essential in improving wellbeing, and as a reflexologist, I see myself as a "Wellbeing Improver"! Reflexology can have an effect on how a person feels about themselves, and how they perceive their illness or problems- which in turn makes it easier for people to cope with that illness. How we achieve wellbeing and what we can do to enhance it, is completely up to us- an independent choice. Complementary therapies can help us on the path to bring about harmony, making some parts of life easier to cope with, and helping us to cope with every day stresses. I do a few things to help improve my wellbeing. I practice yoga, take regular exercise, eat healthily, spend time with friends and family, and try to have at least one treatment a month.

Whole30
I am coming to the end of my 30 day detox, and although initially I thought I would find it impossible to complete, I have managed it. I have really enjoyed doing it, and have managed to be so creative with cooking up some delicious meals- have a look at myInstagram page to see some of the creations! My energy levels are balanced, I am sleeping very well and I am feeling great. I would recommend it to anyone. If you want to know more about the 30 day programme, follow this link: http://whole30.com/

Summer Offers!
For the rest of the month I am doing an offer on the Natural Facelift Massage treatment. Book a 45 minute Natural Facelift Massage and only pay £30! (Price normally £40)
The offer will end on 31st May, so book now.

Spring is Springing!

We are over halfway into April and have had some glimpses of Spring. The arrival of Spring, brings dread for some people, as they are prone to allergies. 16 million people in Britain suffer from hay fever. Reflexology can help to bring ease to the symptoms that come with allergies. By working on pressure points for sinuses, head, chest, lungs, and lymphatic system, symptoms can feel better. Some people actually report feeling like their sinuses are being cleared as a reflexologist works on that point of their foot. You could also try mixing dried herbs together to make a soothing tea:
-Elderflower is a great decongestant
-Eyebright can help irritated eyes
-Nettle is a natural anti-histamine

The Importance of Drinking Water

7/6/2015

Many of us do not realise the importance of drinking water and as a result are not drinking enough of it. The guidelines for drinking water are different for each person, depending on gender, activity, size etc. When our bodies are dehydrated there are many common signs such as:

Darker urine and not passing much urine when going to the loo
Poor digestion, constipation
Headaches
Lack of energy
Feeling lightheaded
Dry skin, lips and dandruff
Bad skin complexion

If you feel like you have any of the above then try to increase your water intake. I tell each of my clients to drink more water after a treatment, and some of you may wonder why it is so important to do this after having a treatment.

The effleurage techniques we use in massage and reflexology encourage the body to rid itself of toxins. To do this, the body must have water in it, so that the toxins can come out when we urinate. If we do not drink water then the body will use up all of its water supplies to get rid of the toxins and this can leave us feeling dehydrated and not well.

Start drinking more water today and see how different it makes you feel and look!
